The Last of Us Part I is coming to Steam on Tuesday, 28 March 2023 - marking the first time that the series will be playable outside of the PlayStation ecosystem. However, that doesn't mean that a PlayStation is the only way to play the series.
Sony has a strict exclusivity policy for its first-party titles, meaning it's extremely unlikely that they'll ever be available to play on an Xbox console. They were developed by Naughty Dog, a game development company that's been owned by Sony since 2001, when it was busy making the Crash Bandicoot series. As of right now - including the remaster and Part 1 remake versions, The Last of Us is available on PS3, PS4, and PS5. The Last of Us and its sequel are not available to play on Xbox, as they are first-party titles for PlayStation platforms.
